On March 3, 2025, a new customer from Hong Kong sent us an inquiry for 316 stainless steel pipes. After communicating with the customer, the customer placed an order with us a week later. 316 stainless steel pipes are very common products, and we have made many orders of the same material.
ZIZI is a company specializing in the production and processing of pipes and fittings. The pipes and pipe fittings we produce are mainly used in chemical, petroleum, natural gas, water conservancy, electric power, marine engineering and other fields. The products mainly include seamless pipes, welded pipes, butt-welded pipe fittings, high-pressure forged pipe fittings and flanges of various sizes. The materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, low-temperature steel, duplex steel, base alloy, etc.
316 stainless steel pipe is a versatile and widely used austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that incorporates molybdenum. This addition of molybdenum significantly enhances its corrosion resistance, particularly against pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments, making it superior to 304 stainless steel in many harsh applications.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent, especially in marine and chloride environments (like saltwater).
Strength: Strong and durable, good for structural use.
Temperature Resistance: Maintains strength and corrosion resistance at high temps.
Hygienic: Easy to clean, so it's great for food and pharmaceutical industries.

Excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including chlorides, sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic, and tartaric acids. The molybdenum content is key to its enhanced resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in marine and chemical processing applications.
Exhibits good strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures. 316 can withstand higher temperatures for longer durations than 304. The low carbon variant, 316L, offers improved resistance to sensitization (grain boundary carbide precipitation) during welding. For even higher temperature strength, 316H with a higher carbon content is available.
