On June 25th, we received an urgent order from an AAA rated customer in Singapore regarding ASME B16.47 carbon steel flange. This batch of flanges is not only related to the promotion of key projects for customers, but also a test of our ability to respond to urgent orders.
ASME B16.47 carbon steel flange ordered by the customer this time all require the use of ASTM A105 carbon steel material and must strictly comply with the ASME B16.47 manufacturing standard. This is the standard specification requirement for high-pressure pipeline systems in the fields of petrochemicals, energy, etc., ensuring the compression resistance, sealing, and adaptability of flanges.

The customer repeatedly emphasized in communication that this batch of flanges is used for their key projects, and any delay in delivery will directly lead to project shutdown and cause significant losses. Therefore, it is required to complete the delivery of all orders within two weeks (14 days). As such large-diameter flanges are generally out of stock and production needs to be arranged, the delivery time is very tight.
To ensure that customer projects are not delayed, we immediately established the ASME B16.47 Carbon Steel Flange Project Team, which coordinates production resources based on the principle of "priority guarantee and full process controllability". Prepare all necessary raw materials for production within 24 hours, assign a dedicated person to be responsible for each production process, adopt a process parallel strategy, and synchronously carry out parameter debugging, size inspection, and other processes; The seamless connection between non-destructive testing and surface rust prevention treatment reduces process waiting time, avoids rework of finished products, and saves production time.
After 7 days of efficient collaboration and intense production, all 22 pieces of ASME B16.47 carbon steel flange have been produced and inspected. Meanwhile, our documentation personnel have arranged the booking and shipping process, and this batch of flanges arrived in Singapore on time via Beijing air freight. The successful delivery of this urgent order reflects our ability to deliver urgent orders and our service consciousness of wholeheartedly solving problems for customers, winning high praise and trust from Singaporean customers.
ASME B16.47 carbon steel flange, with their strict production standards, strong pressure bearing capacity, and wide adaptability, have become important components of pipeline systems in the fields of petroleum, chemical, and energy, providing stable support for pipeline connections under high pressure and high temperature conditions.
ASME B16.47 carbon steel flange is a carbon steel pipeline connector that complies with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B16.47 standard, mainly used for connecting large-diameter pipelines. The flange performance combines high strength, good toughness, and cost advantages, and can withstand certain pressure and temperature fluctuations, adapting to various industrial medium transportation needs. Through standardized design, it can be compatible with globally standardized pipe fittings, reducing pipeline system assembly and maintenance costs.
The ASME B16.47 standard is used to standardize the manufacturing of large-sized steel flanges, with sizes ranging from 26 inches (DN650) to 60 inches (DN1500) and pressure ratings ranging from Class 75 to Class 900. It is suitable for butt welding flanges and blind flanges and can be matched with various carbon steel materials such as ASTM A105, ASTM A350, ASTM A694, etc., to meet the requirements of pipeline connection under high pressure, high temperature, and general corrosion conditions.

The ASME B16.47 standard includes two types of flanges: weld neck flanges and blind flanges.
Weld neck flanges, also known as radial flanges, need to be connected to pipelines by butt welding. The neck design enhances the rigid connection between the flange and the pipeline, reduces stress concentration, and is suitable for working conditions with high pressure, vibration, or frequent temperature changes;
Blind flange, with no hole in the center of the flange, is used for sealing the end of pipelines or equipment openings. The sealing surface has high precision and can effectively prevent medium leakage, ensuring the safety of the system's closed end.

Thickness and Weight: Series B flanges are thinner and lighter.
Number and Size of Bolts: Series B flanges utilize a larger number of smaller-diameter bolts, while Series A flanges utilize a smaller number of larger-diameter bolts.
Strength and Load-Carrying Capacity: Series A flanges are thicker and heavier, capable of withstanding higher external loads, making them more popular in more demanding, high-pressure environments. Series B flanges are more suitable for general pipe connections.
Flange Types: ASME B16.47 Series B primarily includes weld neck flanges and blind flanges and is the only series in the standard to offer a Class 75 pressure rating.
ASME B16.47 carbon steel flanges are widely used due to their large diameter and high adaptability
Petrochemical industry: docking of crude oil transportation pipelines and high-pressure pipelines of refining equipment;
Energy industry: connection of steam pipelines in thermal power plants and long-distance natural gas pipelines;
Water treatment industry: Sealing and docking of large-diameter water pipelines for large water supply plants and sewage treatment plants;
Ship and Ocean Engineering: Key Connections between Ship Power Systems and Offshore Platform Oil Pipelines.
The core advantages of ASME B16.47 carbon steel flange are significant:
firstly, it has a high degree of standardization, is globally applicable, and reduces the adaptation difficulties of cross-border projects;
Secondly, it has excellent cost-effectiveness, with carbon steel material having a lower cost than stainless steel and being easy to maintain;
Thirdly, it has strong adaptability to working conditions, covering large diameters and multiple pressure levels, and can cope with complex environments such as high pressure and high temperature;
The fourth is safety and reliability. Through strict dimensional tolerances and sealing surface design, the risk of leakage is low, ensuring the long-term stable operation of the pipeline system.
