In January 2025, we received an inquiry from China for ASTM A182 F316L Threaded Fittings. The customer expressed great interest in a variety of specifications, especially for single-threaded pipe clamps, threaded branch sockets and hexagonal pipe plugs in high-pressure applications. We quickly sorted out the existing inventory and production cycle and submitted a formal quotation to the customer. At the end of the month, we formally placed an order.
ZIZI is a company specializing in the production and processing of pipes and fittings. The pipes and pipe fittings we produce are mainly used in chemical, petroleum, natural gas, water conservancy, electric power, marine engineering and other fields. The products mainly include seamless pipes, welded pipes, butt-welded pipe fittings, high-pressure forged pipe fittings and flanges of various sizes. The materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, low-temperature steel, duplex steel, base alloy, etc.
ASTM A182 F316L refers to forged stainless steel pipe fittings made from low carbon 316 stainless steel, designed primarily for high-temperature and corrosive environments, such as in chemical processing, offshore, oil & gas, and marine industries.
ASTM A182 F316L refers to forged or rolled alloy and stainless steel pipe flanges, forged fittings, and valves and parts intended for high-temperature service, made from 316L stainless steel.

Low Carbon: The "L" designation indicates a lower carbon content compared to standard 316 stainless steel. This is crucial for minimizing carbide precipitation during welding, which can lead to corrosion.
Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, including atmospheric, chemical, and marine environments. It is more resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion than 304 stainless steel.
Weldability: Excellent weldability. The low carbon content enhances its resistance to sensitization (formation of chromium carbides at grain boundaries) during welding.
High-Temperature Service: Suitable for high-temperature applications due to its good tensile and creep strength at elevated temperatures.
