What is Socket Weld Tee
ASTM A182 socket weld tee is a type of high-pressure pipe fitting connection accessory mainly formed by pressing and forging blanks from round steel or steel ingots, and then processed by lathe machine. It can be divided into equal tee and reducing tee according to its shape.
Socket weld is a pipe attachment detail in which a pipe is inserted into a recessed area of a valve, fitting or flange. In contrast to butt weld fittings, they are not need to do beveling for welding preparation and have lower construction cost.
