How to Inspect Carbon Steel Pipe
Outer diameter and wall thickness: Measure the outer diameter and wall thickness of the steel pipe to ensure that it meets the dimensional tolerances specified in the order or standard.
Length: Measure the length of the steel pipe to ensure that it meets the length requirements specified in the order or standard.
Straightness: Check the straightness of the steel pipe to ensure that it has no obvious bends or warps.
ASTM A106B Seamless Pipe Specification
ASTM A106 carbon steel pipe specification is mainly applicable to seamless steel pipes size range of 1/8″ to 48″ (DN6 to DN1200). Wall thickness of these steel pipes must comply with ASME B36.10 standard.
