ASTM A563M heavy hex nut is a mechanical part with a hexagonal shape and a threaded hole inside. It mainly consists of a nut body and a threaded part. The nut body is a hexagonal block structure with six parallel faces and equal sides. This hexagonal structure makes it easy to use a wrench to operate the nut when tightening and loosening.
ASTM A563 Nuts come under the specification for carbon steel and alloy steel nuts that are intended for general, mechanical and structural applications. ZIZI is a manufacturer of the different grades of nuts such as the ASTM A563 DH heavy hex nuts. The hex nuts are easy to install with tools and therefore it is one of the most commonly used type of nuts.
ASTM A563M Heavy Hex Nut Specification
ASTM A563M heavy hex nut specification covers chemical, mechanical, and dimensional requirements for eleven grades of carbon and alloy steel nuts for general structural and mechanical uses on bolts, studs, and other externally threaded parts.
Noe 1-See Appendix Xi for guidance on suitable application of nut grades.
The requirements for any grade of nut may, at the supplier's option, and with notice to the purchaser, be fulfilled by furnishing nuts of one of the stronger grades specified herein unless such substitution is barred in the inquiry and purchase order.

Application of ASTM A563M Nuts
Machinery Manufacturing Industry
ASTM A563M heavy hex nuts are widely used in the assembly of various mechanical equipment. In automobile manufacturing, the assembly of engines, chassis and other components requires a large number of heavy hexagon nuts. The connection between the engine block and the cylinder head, the connection between the automobile frame and the suspension system, etc. are inseparable from heavy hexagon nuts.
Construction Industry
Heavy hexagon nuts also play an important role in the construction of building structures. In steel structure buildings, bolts and heavy hexagon nuts are usually used to connect components such as steel beams and steel columns.
Power Equipment Industry
Heavy hex nuts have many applications in the installation and maintenance of power equipment. In the installation of transformers, switch cabinets and other equipment in substations, ASTM A563M heavy hex nuts are used to fix the housing of the equipment, connect electrical lines, etc.
