Schedule 10 (SCH 10) stainless steel pipe is a thin-walled standard pipe. Compared to higher-grade pipes like Schedule 40, Schedule 60, and Schedule 80, Schedule 10 stainles steel pipes have thinner walls. It is suitable for low-pressure liquid and gas transportation systems, such as those used for food, drinking water, and chemical fluids. The main features of our Schedule 10 (SCH 10) stainless steel pipes are excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight, and durability. These pipes are ideal for high-temperature or corrosive environments, including applications in water pipes, desalination, and the oil and gas industries. Our Schedule 10 stainless steel pipes are typically made from 316L low-carbon stainless steel, which offers enhanced corrosion resistance due to its molybdenum content. This makes them particularly suitable for industries such as chemicals and marine applications.
Shanghai Zhucheng Pipe Fittings Manufacturing Co., Ltd. specializes in producing a wide range of stainless steel pipes, including both seamless and welded stainless steel pipes. Our materials include austenitic stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, and others, with specific grades such as A312 TP304, TP304L, TP304H, TP316, TP316L, TP317, TP310S, TP321, A790, A2205, A2507, and more. We not only provide high-quality stainless steel pipe products but also offer comprehensive services, including transportation, inventory management, and quality inspection. Additionally, we offer custom manufacturing services and can process non-standard parts based on customer drawings to meet specific requirements. All of our materials undergo rigorous testing and certification by recognized agencies such as SGS, ABS, BV, TUV, DNV-GL, LR, and Intertek, ensuring compliance with international standards and industry regulations, guaranteeing the highest product quality.
Under the ASME B36.19 standard, the dimensions of the Schedule 10 stainless steel pipes we produce mainly include outer diameter (OD) and wall thickness (WT). In the Schedule 10 standard, the outer diameter (OD) remains the same for pipes with the same nominal pipe size (NPS), while the wall thickness (WT) increases as the pipe size grows. For example, the outer diameter (OD) of a 1" NPS pipe is 33.4 mm, and the outer diameter of a 3" NPS pipe is 88.9 mm. Schedule 10 stainless steel pipes have a thin wall thickness and are typically used for low or medium pressure applications. As the pipe size increases, the wall thickness also increases. For example, the wall thickness of a 1" NPS pipe is 2.77 mm, while the wall thickness of a 3" NPS pipe is 3.91 mm.

Schedule 10 Stainless Steel Pipe Thickness
Under the ASME B36.19 standard, the wall thickness of the Schedule 10 stainless steel pipes we produce mainly depends on the nominal pipe size (NPS), and the wall thickness increases as the NPS grows. For example, the wall thickness of smaller sizes (NPS 1/2" and 3/4") is around 2.11mm, while the wall thickness of larger sizes (such as NPS 10" and 12") increases to 4.19mm and 4.57mm, respectively.
