Branch outlet pipe is the support of large diameter pipe to small diameter pipe.Branch outlet is a reinforcing type pipe fitting mainly used for intuitive connection. It is a connection form of branch pipe, such as strengthening pipe segment, instead of using reducing three-way reinforcing plate.Branch connections have full specifications, types, holes, and working pressure levels.
Branch outlet pipe has the advantages of safety and reliability, cost reduction, simple construction, improvement of medium channel, serialization and standardization, convenient design and selection, etc., especially in the high pressure, high temperature, large diameter, thick wall pipeline is increasingly widely used, replacing the traditional branch pipe connection method.
Common branch outlet pipe classification: Weldolet, Sockolet, Threadolet, Latrolet, Nipolet.
Weldolet is most common and economical of all branch connections, it is welded to the main run pipe (larger size) and connceted to the branch pipe (small size). The shape of the Weldolet ensures little stress concentration on the branched pipe, providing an integral reinforcement.
Applicable working environment
Applicable to pipes of various materials, especially metal pipes, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.
Commonly used in high temperature, high pressure, flammable and explosive working environments with extremely high connection strength and sealing requirements.
It is molded by round steel or steel ingot and then machined by lathe. One end of the socketolet is flat, inserted into the branch pipe, and then fillet welded together. It has higher tensile strength, firmness, corrosion resistance, higher durability, excellent weld ability and longer service life.
Applicable working environment
commonly used for plastic pipes (such as PVC, PPR, etc.), thin-walled metal pipes, etc.
suitable for low-pressure, normal temperature working environments, such as building water supply and drainage systems, urban water supply systems, etc.
Threadolet have a female thread connection in its bore section that screwed to the fittings, it is manufactured as standard MSS MS-97. It typically is in the size range of 1/2″ to 2” and is welded over a hole either drilled or burned in the pipe.
Applicable working environment
Many industrial equipment, instruments, etc. need to be connected to the pipeline system. The threadolet can be used as an intermediate connector to achieve a reliable connection between the pipeline and the equipment.
Latrolet fitting is a kind of special olets that used in the piping system. It is available in connection of butt weld, threaded and socket weld. The ends of a Latrolet are bevelled to facilitate the welding process, and for this reason Latrolet belong to the family of butt weld fittings.
Applicable working environment
On the crude oil pipeline of the refinery, the crude oil needs to be diverted to different processing units for processing. The latrolet can guide the crude oil to each branch pipeline at a specific inclination angle according to the process requirements, ensuring the stable transportation and reasonable distribution of the crude oil.
Nipolet is not common type of branch connection that also called nipple outlet, the connection end can be plain end and screwed. It is available with varying ends as Plain or bevelled ends, both of them are used for weld connections while the ends for screw connections have an external thread.
Applicable working environment
In chemical production, multiple branch pipes are drawn out from the main reaction pipe to transport the reaction products to different storage tanks or subsequent processing equipment. The Nipolet can easily realize this branch connection to ensure the smooth progress of the production process.
