ASME B16.9 Tee and Reducing Tee Fittings

ASME B16.9 is the dimensioning standard established by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers for use wrought factory-made buttwelding fittings.  The specification and size of butt - welded tee pipe fittings and other general requirements are specified in detail.  

B16.9 Tee pipe fittings are product of pipe fittings, which is mainly used for connection of pipe fitting and pipe, generally used for connection and communication of three pipes, so it is called "tee".  B19.6 Tee pipe fittings is mainly used for pipe to pipe connection in metal pipe system. At present, the different size of the three-way pipe connecting port on the market can be roughly divided into two categories: equal tee and reducing tee. the connecting ends are in same sizes, it is equal tee, while brach size is smaller than run pipe size, we call it as reducing tee. The common tee material on the market is carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel.
