Threaded Tee is a type of pipe joint, which is the most common threaded pipe fitting, and is also an important accessory in pipeline systems. Threaded tee has three ports, one inlet and two outlets; or two inlets and one outlet, with a T and Y shape. Depending on the outlet diameter, there are two types of pipe fittings: TS equal tee and TR reducing tee. The outer diameter of the three ports of an equal diameter tee is the same, while the main pipe connecting pipe size of a different diameter tee is the same. While the connecting pipe size of the branch pipe is smaller than the connecting pipe size of the main pipe. Used at the confluence of three identical or different pipelines. The main function of the tee is to change the direction of the fluid and divert the flow of the medium through it. Threaded tee is usually produced according to ASME B16.9.

What is NPT?
NPT is an abbreviation for National (American) Pipe Thread, which belongs to the American standard 60 degree spinal screw thread and is mainly used in North America.
Elements of Threads
Nominal diameter: the diameter refers to the diameter of the hypothetical cylinder or cone that overlaps with the crown of the outer thread and the bottom of the inner thread; Small diameter refers to the diameter of the hypothetical cylinder or cone that overlaps with the base of the outer thread and the top of the inner thread.
Number of lines: The number of lines that form the spiral line of a thread is called the number of lines. There are single and multi-line threads, which are evenly distributed in the section perpendicular to the axis.
Pitch and lead: The distance between two adjacent teeth on the mid-diameter line corresponding to the two axes is called pitch. The distance between two adjacent teeth on the same helical line and the corresponding two points on the mid-diameter line in the axial direction is called the guide. The relationship between line number n, pitch P and lead S is S=n × P.
Rotation: Seen along the axis direction, the thread that rotates clockwise becomes a right-hand thread and the thread that rotates counterclockwise is called a left-hand thread.
Tooth type, large diameter, pitch, line number and thread direction of threads are called five elements of threads. Only internal and external threads with the same five elements can screw together.
