EN 10241 was developed by the European Standards Union. This European standard specifies requirements for threaded fittings of nominal sizes from DN 6 to DN 150 inclusive, made out of welded or seamless steel tubes, forging and rolled bars. It is applicable to those threaded steel pipe fittings that are used in the transportation and distribution of liquid or gas.
Threaded elbows are pipe fittings that change the direction of a line in a piping system. According to the angle, there are 45 degrees and 90 degrees, and other abnormal angle elbows such as 60 degrees are included according to the project requirements. Threaded elbows are composed of threaded openings, bent parts, etc. They are characterized by threaded grooves on the openings. The materials of threaded elbows are cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, calcinable cast iron, carbon steel, non-ferrous metal, etc.
EN 10241 Pipe Fittings are pipe fittings with threads, made of stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel and other materials, suitable for each pipe connection. The common threaded pipe fittings are: Threaded Elbow, Threaded Cross, Threaded Tee, Threaded Coupling, Threaded Cap, Threaded Union, Threaded Nipple, Swage Nipple, Hex Nipple, Threaded Plug, and Bushing.
