High pressure forged steel fittings are machined from round steel or steel ingots that in standard of ASME B16.11. There are three connection type that threaded (THD) , socket weld (SW) and butt weld (BW). And size range is 1/8" to 4" and the pressure is Class 2000 lbs, 3000lbs, 6000 lbs and 9000 lbs. The common used material grades are ASTM A105, A350 LF2, A182 F304 & 316.

Material
The common used materials are carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. Carbon steel is widely used in the industries large and price is appropriate. It can also be galvanized to enhance corrosion resistance. Stainless steel is expensive, but is has long service life and good corrosion resistance. Alloy steel is used less compare with CS & SS, but it's aspects of performance are good, and cost is also high.
Application
Due to high pressure and precision, they are mainly suitable for petroleum, chemical industry, power plant, water conservancy, aerospace, military industry, metallurgy, shipbuilding, gas, etc.
