Alloy steel butt weld steel pipe cap is one of the butt weld types of fittings, which is usually used by connecting methods of butt welding. Thus, butt weld cap ends can in beveled or plain. Being the final weld bead in a weld joint, caps may be completed in the form of a stringer bead or by a weaving motion back and forth.
Typically, liquid or gas-tight caps seal the open end of a pipe. A cap is attached to the end of the line so that the flow is terminated.
