ASME B16.9 Steel Pipe Cross Fittings are designed and manufactured according to international standard of ASME B16.9. The common used material are carbon steel and stainless steel. It may have one inlet and three outlets or three inlets and one outlet.
The steel pipe cross dimension and specification is designed as standard of ANSI/ASME B16.9, it can be equal or redcuing. It has same function as butt weld tee that provide branch for connection, but less common used because the cost is higher and manufacture technology.
Steel Pipe Equal Cross Steel Pipe Reducing Cross
Buttwelding Fittings are used in a piping system to change direction or function of media, to branch off, reduce pipe size or attach auxiliary equipment. They are availbale in multiple types as elbow, tee, cap, reducer, stub end and oelt, that produced in cold and hot forming based on ASTM A403 and ASTM A234 specification.
ASTM A403 is representative standard speciciation for stainless steel buttweld fittings, the common used grades are SS304, SS316, SS321 and SS310S. It is the abbreviation of stainless acid-resistant steel, and resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam, water or others.
ASTM A234 WPB is common used grade in carbon steel material, and matched with ASTM A106B / API 5L B / A53B pipes and ASTM A105 flanges in the pipeline system. It has good properties with lower cost.
