Alloy Steel butt Weld Eccentric Reducer is a pipe fitting which helps to join two pipes with different diameters. Thus, it reduces the size of the pipe in the pipe system, from one size to another.
Butt weld eccentric reducer are manufacture by seamless or welded pipe. For pipe fittings manufacturers, the forming process of welded pipe and seamless pipe is basically same.
Alloy Steel butt weld reducer include concentric reducer and eccentric reducer. Concentric reducers reduce the pipe in the center. When you observe the reducer at the reducer head-on, you can see the smaller section is formed in the direct center of the larger side. Eccentric reducers reduce the pipe to the side.
Feature of ASTM A234 WP11 Material
ASTM A234 standard steel pipe fittings have been widely applied in pipeline systems, it includes carbon and alloy steel material. Alloy steel butt weld eccentric reducer is for using in pressure piping and in pressure vessel fabrication for service at moderate and elevated temperatures.
It covers steel fittings of seamless and welded types. Steel Pipe fittings are applied in pressure pipelines and in pressure vessel fabrications.
ASTM A234 specification has many grades, such as WPB, WPC, WP5, WP9 WP11, WP12, WP22, WP91 and so on.
ASTM A234 Grade WP11 is made from carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium and molybdenum. This 1% chromium and molybdenum content provides the material with good strength and corrosion resistance.

For the size of 1/2"-8", the package type is wooden case.
8"-12" is Pallet, and above 12" is loose.
However, the packaging can be customized according to the customer's specific requirements.
Where Do We Use an Eccentric Reducer
Alloy Steel butt Weld Eccentric Reducer is used at the suction side of pumps to ensure air does not accumulate in the pipe. The gradual accumulation of air in a concentric reducer could result in a large bubble that could eventually cause the pump to stall or cause cavitation when drawn into the pump.
