What is ASME B16.11 Threaded Tee
ASME B16.11 is the standard for the forged steel fittings, including threaded type and socket weld type.
ASME B16.11 threaded tees are used to connect 3 pipes which meet at a point. It can also be applied to combine the flow from two inlets to one outlet or for mixing of liquids.
As one of the most common pipe fittings, usually the threaded tee is a fitting in which the side inlet pipe enters at a 90-degree angle, or an angle other than 90 degrees.

How to Determine Pipe Thread Type
Usually, we use caliper to measure the first, fourth and final full thread. If the measurements are all the same, then it's parallel. If the measurements decrease in size, then it's tapered. NPT, NPTF, BSPT, and Metric Tapered are examples of tapered threads.

Inspection
Visual the surface of Pipe Tee body such as dents, die marks, porosity, undercuts etc.
Check the marking such as size, material code, material grade, thickness, heat No.
Measure the dimensions such as outside diameter, thickness, length of thread.
Test threads of threaded tee with Go/no Go Gauge.
