THREADED OUTLET

NPT Threaded Outlet

NPT stands for National Pipe Tapered threads (also for ANSI/ASME B1.20.1 Pipe Threads). It is a U.S. standard for measuring tapered threads on threaded pipes and fittings. It has 60 degree thread angle.NPT pipe fittings require some kind of sealant placed on the threads before assembly.

BSP Threaded outlet

BSP refers to British Standard Pipe, it is screw threads for interconnection and sealing pipes and fittings. BSPP and BSPT is two common type of BSP threads.

BSPP and BSPT both have 55 degree thread angle. BSPT is also tapered threads but can be connected with NPT threads. While BSPP is parallel thread type.
