What is Butt Weld Reducing Tee Used
Butt weld reducing tees are used to provide high integrity mechanical connections in various pumping applications. Are widely used for positive pressure and vacuum applications. Used in ultra high purity systems. It features unique machining and surface enhancement which can prevent out gassing and inhibit corrosion.
ASME B16.9 Standard
The ASME B16.9 is set by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. ASME B16.9 refers to factory-made butt welding fittings. ASME B16.9 governs scope, pressure ratings, size, marking, material, fitting dimensions, surface contours, end preparation, design proof tests, production tests, and tolerances.
The ASME/ANSI B16.9 specification covers the dimensions and the tolerances of carbon, alloy and stainless-steel butt weld fittings.

The common size is 4" -12" in stock. We will manufacture the tee for other sizes.

Face Finish
We always painting the butt weld reducing tee for rust protection in transit. The clients usually remove the painting and repaint with better paint when they receive the elbow. Of course, we also can paint according to client’s requirements about the paint brand, wall thickness and so on.
Package
For the size of 1/2" -8" , the package type is crate.
8" -12" is Pallet, and above 12" is loose.
However, the packaging can be customized according to the customer's specific requirements.
