What is a Thread Union
MSS SP 83 threaded union is used to connect two pipes and the ends will be machined to NPT or BSP that match external end threads of pipe. Threaded union is similar to the coupling and can be flexibly disassembled when it needs to be repaired or replaced.
A union is a threaded fitting which allows the pipe work to be separated and reconnected without any horizontal movement in the pipe. It can be a standalone pipe fitting connecting two pieces of pipe, or an integral part of another fitting (such as a ball valve) which allows it to be separated.

Specification
Pipe union is a forged fitting that designed for unite two pipes which can be detached without causing any deformation to the pipes. Any kind of small diameter piping connections requiring a positive seal and easy assembly as well as disassembly are made with the help of pipe union. Three parts of steel pipe union: A nut, a female end, a male end.

How to install a threaded union
Threaded union fitting also called a "pipe fitting" or simply a union, is two pipes that are fastened together with a male end and a female end. The type of fitting used depends on the size of the pipe you need to connect, for example, if the diameter is % inches (or 19 mm), then a nipple and a female cap will work best.
The process of connecting two pipes is simple: place the ends of the union fitting on either side of the pipe and tighten in a clockwise direction until it can't be tightened anymore. To ensure that there will be no leaks during use, we recommend covering each end with PTFE tape.
Once the union is in place, you need to connect the pipes. For a simple connection, use a pipe nipple and a male cap on one side, and then a female cap or coupling (both are unions) on the other. Both of these connections can be tightened with locking pliers until they can't be tightened anymore. On the other end of the pipe, you can use a fitting to connect the two pipes together.
