What is Slip On Flange
Class 1500 slip on flange refers to a type of flange that is connected to a container or pipeline using fillet welds. This type of flange is usually connected to a pipe by one or two fillet welds (one outside the flange and one inside the flange), it is however possible to use only a single weld.
The advantage of slip on flanges is that they are easier to align during welding assembly and are relatively inexpensive, thus they have been widely used. It is also easy to install on site, and the process of welding seam rubbing can be omitted, which is more popular.
