What is Threaded Flange
Threaded flange is a non welded flange that processes the inner hole of the flange into a pipe thread and connects it with a threaded pipe.Compared with slip on flanges or Butt weld flanges, Threaded flanges have the characteristics of easy installation and maintenance, and can be used on pipelines that are not allowed to be welded on site.
Class 1500 threaded flange design (also called a 'screwed flange') uses a screw thread to connect the flange to a pipe.A male thread is cut onto a pipe end whilst a female thread is cut into the bore of the flange; the male threaded pipe is then screwed into the female threaded flange.
Class 1500 threaded flange advantage is that the piping system would be quite easy to assemble as there would not be any welding in the piping joint.
