What is Class 900 Lap Joint Flange
Forged steel flange is a disc-shaped piece of equipment used to connect a pipe to fittings or valve or other component to form a pipework system. Usually flange has been attached to pipe or tube end to, and then a gasket is inserted in the middle to form a seal. Finally they are joined together with bolts and nuts.
Class 900 lap joint flange is a two-piece pipe flange connection that is easy to install and disassemble. What are the advantages of lap joint flanges? Lap joint flanges are cost-effective, can accommodate minor misalignments, and are well-suited for corrosive applications.
ASME B16.5 Standard of Flange
ASME B16.5 is the most common used standard specification for manufacturing cast and forged steel pipe flange. This standard included flanges and flanged fittings made from cast or forged materials, and blind flanges and certain reducing flanges made from cast, forged, or plate materials. Also included in this Standard are requirements and recommendations regarding flange bolting, flange gaskets, and flange joints.
