What is Outlet Fittings
Outlet fittings are forged products with high strength and clear cost advantages over conventional pipe branching techniques.
There are three types for MSS SP-97 standard, it is BW outlet, SW outlet and threaded outlet. MSS SP-97 threaded outlet is usually the pipe fittings which supply an outlet from large pipe to small ones. The most pipe on which the threaded outlet is welded is known as header size or run. The pipe to which carbon steel threaded outlet offers a channel is usually referred to as outlet or branch size.
For the pressure rate for threaded outlet, there is 3000LB and 6000LB.
How to install
How to installed MSS SP-97 threaded outlet? Quite easily: on one side, the fittings (example a Weldolet) is fixed onto the run pipe with a full penetration groove weld and, on the other side, welded (or screwed) on the branch pipe. Of course, the header pipe shall be properly cut in the proximity of the area where the pipe needs to be branched.

MSS-SP 97 specification covers the dimensions, the finishing, the tolerances, the testing methods and procedures, the marking, the material grades, and the minimum tensile strength requirements for 90-degrees integrally reinforced forged branch outlet fittings (welded and threaded).

We always inspect the goods when delivery. For the threaded outlet, we inspect the run OD and branch OD, thread, wall thickness.For the stainless steel and alloy fittings, we will also make PMI inspection.
Packing of MSS SP-97 Threaded Outlet
For the size of 1/2" - 2", the package type is carton, and put the carton to the wooden case..
2"-4" is wooden case.
However, the packaging can be customized according to the customer's specific requirements.
