P91 Alloy Steel Pipe is a kind of pipe which has high class strength and temperature resistance because of the chrome moly alloy metal material. P91 Alloy Steel Pipe l is made under the temperature of 1050°C,and then cooled to the temperature 200 °C in the open air. After that, P91 Alloy Steel Pipe need to be heated through heating to 760 °C. All these process make P91 Alloy Steel Pipe have creep strength and durability. Within P91 Alloy Steel Pipe’s chemical elements, the chrome makes it have temperature strength and oxidation resistance. The molybdenum increases the elasticity, resistance to wear, and high temperature creep strength of P91 Alloy Steel ipe.
Alloy steel pipes are made from alloyed steel, a form of steel that contains various elements in varying proportions to give it certain desired characteristics. It usually consists of carbon plus any other element like Nickel, Manganese, Silicon or Chromium. This addition can improve the mechanical properties of these pipes, such as strength and corrosion resistance, and provide enhanced physical properties they may require for specific applications. These alloyed steels are available in different grades, allowing them to be used for various purposes across multiple industries due to their versatility and unique composition.
ASTM A335 Standard Scope
This specification covers nominal wall and minimum wall seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe intended for hightemperature service. Pipe ordered to this specification shall be suitable for bending, flanging (vanstoning), and similar forming operations, and for fusion welding. Selection will depend upon design, service conditions, mechanical properties, and high-temperature characteristics.
Materials and Manufacture
Pipe may be either hot finished or cold drawn with the finishing treatment as required in 5.2.
Heat Treatment:
All pipe shall be reheated for heat treatment and heat treated in accordance with the requirements of Table 2.
